SAGE Eldercare is sponsoring a four-Saturday series on how the brain is affected by the aging process, medical conditions, and various lifestyle factors, and how older adults can take measures to promote positive brain functioning. Presented by Cori Brandon, MSW, SAGE’s Memory Specialist, the series entitled "Minding Your Mind" will be held at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit from 10am-12pm. Admission is free. SAGE Eldercare presents a two hour seminar entitled, "Better Brain Health 101" from 10am-12pm at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit. This two hour presentation by Cori Brandon, MSW, a memory specialist at SAGE will highlight small lifestyle changes that can impact memory performance in a big way. Topics covered will include physical exercise, nutrition, organization skills, stress management, and brain-challenging activities. Attendance is free. Enrollment is limited. P.R.E.P. (People Responsible for Elderly People) Support Group for Caregivers will meet at SAGE Eldercare, 290 Broad Street, Summit, from 7:30-9:00pm. Richard W. Bennett, Esq. will answer such questions as "What is predatory lending?", "Who is a target?", "What legislation exists to help victims of predatory lending?", and “How can I avoid being a victim?”. Mr. Bennett is an attorney in the area of public interest law for over 30 years. He has been with the Community Health Law Project since 2004, providing legal assistance to New Jersey residents with disabilities. This event is free. Refreshments will be served.
